We offer a range of services coupled with an eye for detail and a good understanding of traditional construction techniques, proportion and style. Most of our work involves vernacular buildings, built prior to 1900 and requiring sensitive restoration or alterations.We have worked on many privatley owned listed buildings ranging from humble barns and cottages to estate walls, timber framed buildings and impressive manor houses, and always welcome the opportunity of looking at interesting projects. Our approach is to combine traditional craft skills and materials with modern equipment and techniques to complete a project in the most appropriate and cost effective way. We are particulaly interested in sustainable building materials and prefer to recycle when possible and use locally sourced materials to reduce enviromental impact. Old buildings always throw up surprises so we adopt a flexible approach and where appropriate suggest work arounds or improvisations to keep the job on track. We can work to prepared specifications or can help with material selection and design details prior to agreeing a price , in certain situations we may also provide labour only on a daily or weekly basis. We operate mainly in the North Wales , Cheshire, and Shropshire areas but will travel further for interesting projects and have worked on property as far away as North Devon and France.
